I hope you'll like it here and stay for reasons other than this thread. I'm sure your experience and perspective will be informative and appreciated and it's great to have a company represented in person. We have other company owners here, manufacturers as well as retailers, so there's a peer group who understand the realities of your business life as well as sharing our mutual interest. 

On BB we have strong guidelines on advertising and corporate postings (See Dealer Forum). Any private member can post a review or a critique of a product as a private member, and enter into endless discussion of merits and demerits of... well.... anything , really. But we are not here to host public relations exercises as such. 

You know that commercial reputations are made or lost in the market place by the service and products delivered. We would all agree that if reputation has to be a balance between satisfied and unsatisfied customers then it had better be a very skewed balance indeed. By all means respond in as much detail as you like to the specifics of this knife or knife model, but please understand that BB is not the place to post a shedload of third party customer testimonials, whether solicited or unsolicited. The grown-ups on here have a fair idea where your coming from and a decent sense of fair play.

So take what you can from us, join in and let's all get on being enthusiasts, even if our living depends on it

Aquí acaba el hilo del foro BB (véanse entradas anteriores) en el que se discute en torno a la compra altamente insatisfactoria de productos de Sheffield (navaja de A. Wright and Son). Aquí el forista responde al dueño de la tienda en la que se compró la navaja (tienda virtual).  El hecho es que hay clientes insatisfechos, más de los que se reconoce, que ponen en entredicho la calidad de estas navajas tradicionales. Este mismo modelo fue comprado en esa misma tienda, solo que se pidió otro color de cachas ( a no ser que este sea azul y yo sea un topo ciego). No se devolvió porque me pareció que lo que podía recibir igual  sí era del color deseado pero no mejor...Se trata de una lambfoot:

Este modelo, con estas cachas, parecería americano, y lo podría ser. El origen británico de los modelos tradiciones de los Estados Unidos no tiene discusión. Desde  antes de su independencia, ya se producían en Sheffield navajas hechas con especificaciones concretas para venderse en Norteamérica. La conservadora Inglaterra no ha conservado su rica tradición industrial en este ramo. Eso sí, pervive a través de fabricantes como GEC o Case.

Aquí, en esta intervención en el foro BB (Britishblades), el propietario de una tienda de cuchillería se defiende ante un hilo iniciado por un forista descontento con la compra de una navaja en Famous Sheffield Shop de la marca A. Wright and Son. Dice el dueño que tiene cartas de mucha gente contenta...

Yo mismo, Hefesto, si hubiera andando con más diligencia, le habría mandado una más para comunicarle que esta misma navaja que aquí se presenta no responde a la imagen que vende en su tienda. Un leve defecto que no impide su buen uso, pero un defecto que empaña el aspecto final y la perspectiva especializada de un coleccionista ( o de cualquiera que piense que por las libras que se paga, se ha de recibir un producto irreprochable, como debiera ser), No se ve apreciará aquí esa tara que afecta a la virola inferior, que no rodea el cabo con limpieza y se produce un escalón por la parte del muelle. Si fuera vendedor de Ebay, no lo habría hecho mejor a la hora de presentarla a los compradores...
